Watches Care Tips – 1. Replace battery as soon as the watch stops running or second hand jumps every few seconds. A dead battery will leak out and damage movement. If you don’t plan on using the watch, remove the battery.

Watches Care Tips – 2. If you pull out the crown to save the battery, place the watch in a box. This way dust and moisture cannot penetrate the watch case.

Watches Care Tips – 3. Replace crown if it fails to properly fix into the post. Replace crystal if cracked.

*Please note that the deep levels are lab test levels and do not mean that the watch can be used that deep in the water. For example, five-bar resistance doesn’t mean that the watch can be used 160 feet under water. A watch’s gasket or rubber ring maintains its water resistance. Over time (about three years), gaskets lose their elasticity and no longer protect the watch. We add an average of one year (from manufacturing to the day the watch was purchased) to the age of the gasket of a new watch. Avoid exposure to shampoo, soap, body lotions, extreme temperature, or sudden temperature changes which accelerate the aging rate of gaskets.
