To celebrate the 125th anniversary of the opening of their first shop in Rome, Bvlgari is launching a line of watches bearing the creator’s name, Sotirio Bvlgari. Each Bvlgari watch in the line shares distinctive design elements. The cases are produced by Bvlgari Group member Finger, which has been producing Tourbillon Automatic watch cases since 1898.
The case lugs will be the signature attribute, incorporated into the caseback at converging angles that provide high tensile strength despite a small contact area with the case. The 42mm case includes a screen back. Crowns contain the”SB” monogram. The high quality hand-worked dials are produced by Cadrans Design, another Bvlgari Group subsidiary.
Beneath the dial on this particular version is a BVL 360 Caliber automatic winding yearly calendar using a 225° retrograde date hand. The motion, produced by Vaucher for Bvlgari, has a hand-decorated bridges and plate with a distinctive biaxial côtes de Genève and a traits tires therapy.
The edges of the plate and bridges as well as the sinks are all polished. The oscillating fat is 18k gold. The motion has 360 components, including 32 stones, and a 55 hour power reserve.
